How It Works

For the protection and well-being of your furry ones and ours, Paws and More requires that all pets under our care are current on their vaccinations and have been treated for fleas.  Our #1 goal is to ensure happy, healthy pets!

Initial Consultation
During our complimentary initial consultation we will visit you in your home to meet you and your pets and gather information including: your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, specific needs, contact numbers, emergency contacts and preferred home care. We will review the intake form you have completed, collect two keys, review the service agreement and discuss how Paws and More can help while you are away!

Instructions for requesting services
Please provide 7 days notice for services requested to ensure availability. We understand plans can change at a moments notice, if 7 days notice aren’t possible we will still do our best to accommodate you and your pets, but the more advance notice we have, the better we can care for your furry ones! Once dates are confirmed, we will provide you with a summary of services and amount due, payable on the date of our first visit.

Payment instructions
We accept cash or checks, payable to Paws and More.  Credit cards are also accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover) with a 3% processing fee.

**A $35 fee will be assessed in the event a check comes back insufficient funds and/or if payment is not received in full before visits begin (first visit for vacation pet sitting or by the 10th of the month for our daily dog walking clients. Holiday visits must be paid in full at time of booking).

Cancellation Policy
We understand that sometimes things happen and plans change. In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, the following will apply. Thank you for your understanding.
– More than 7 days notice received – 100% refund of payment made
– Less than 7 days but more than 24 hours notice received – 50% refund of payment made
– 24 hours notice received – You’ll receive full credit for next visit (up to 2 days)
– Same day cancellation – No refund due
– Holiday visit cancellations are 100% non-refundable (unless made more than 30 days in advance)

Notification of return from out-of-town
We care about you, as much as we do your pets!  Please give us a courtesy text or email, confirming your safe return.

Key Pickup & Return
Paws and More requests two copies of the clients house key and it is typically acquired during the initial consultation. Most Paws and More clients elect to have us keep these keys on file in anticipation of future visits or in case emergency visits are requested. We will be happy to store this keys at no cost to you!

If the house key is not ready during the initial meet & greet and we must arrange to pick it up a $10.00 charge will apply. If you would like your key returned to you after you return home an additional $10.00 fee will be charged. If you would like for us to return the key via USPS mail we can do so for a fee of $7.00. (We must have your request in writing to proceed in this manner.)
